Help for kids

Social and emotional skills help children to be happier and more successful in all areas of life.  Skills such as managing feelings, understanding others' perspectives,  having empathy, relating to others , social communication  and problem solving are all aspects of EQ that can be developed with practice.

I use a mix of  games, activities, mindfulness tools, stories, videos and worksheets to help children better manage:

* Anxiety / worry/ stress
* Anger / frustration
* Friendships
* Conflict / getting along with others
* Confidence issues
* Coping with tough situations

Some kids like their parent to stay for the entire session,  others like to have  their parent coming in  just for the last 10 minutes.
My experience is that  kids  love this one on one time and really look forward to the sessions  I try to make the sessions fun and varied, as well as educational.  Parents are given information on skills taught in session and any tasks the child will be working on between sessions.
